This is a beautiful antique William IV flame mahogany circular extending dining table attributed to Gillows and dating from Circa 1835 and a set of Vintage dining chairs dating from the late 20th C. In the manner of Gillows, the circular reeded table top has five outer leaves that can be added or removed as required to suit the occasion. The table is raised on a substantial central baluster column on a tripod base with large paw feet and recessed castors that give this table it's superb stability. The table can comfortably seat eight when extended and six when the top is retracted. There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome table, which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture, and a talking point with guests at meal times. The attribution to Gillows is based on a table Christies, London, The Glory of Gillows & Fine English Furniture, 16 September 2004, lot 63 which can also be seen illustrated in S.Stuart, Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840, Vol I, p.338 (pl.392). The table in brown oak and impressed GILLOWS was made about 1850 and has an identical base to the table offered here. Provenance: C. Fredericks, 1972 C. All featurimg an attractive swag back design with 'drop in' seats that have been reupholstered in the finest claret damask. The items are not CITES pursuant. Si tratta di un bellissimo tavolo da pranzo circolare allungabile in mogano a fiamma Guglielmo IV, attribuito a Gillows e risalente al 1835 circa, e di un set di sedie da pranzo d'epoca risalenti alla fine del XX secolo. Alla maniera di Gillows, il piano del tavolo circolare a scacchiera è dotato di cinque foglie esterne che possono essere aggiunte o rimosse a seconda delle esigenze. Il tavolo è sollevato da una sostanziosa colonna centrale a balaustro su una base a treppiede con grandi piedi a zampa e rotelle incassate che conferiscono a questo tavolo una superba stabilità. Il tavolo può ospitare comodamente otto persone quando è esteso e sei quando il piano è retratto. Non ci si può sbagliare sulla finezza della lavorazione di questo bel tavolo, che diventerà sicuramente un'aggiunta preziosa al vostro arredamento e un punto di riferimento per gli ospiti durante i pasti. L'attribuzione a Gillows si basa su un tavolo Christies, Londra, The Glory of Gillows & Fine English Furniture, 16 settembre 2004, lotto 63, che può essere visto anche illustrato in S.Stuart, Gillows of Lancaster and London 1730-1840, Vol I, p.338 (pl.392). Il tavolo in rovere marrone con l'impronta GILLOWS è stato realizzato intorno al 1850 e ha una base identica a quella del tavolo qui proposto. Provenienza: C. Fredericks, 1972 C. Fredericks and Son, uno dei più antichi antiquari di Londra, ampia selezione di mobili antichi inglesi di qualità del XVIII e dell'inizio del XIX secolo, che coprono i periodi della Regina Anna, del Georgiano, della Reggenza e di Guglielmo IV Il delizioso set vintage di otto superbe sedie da pranzo con schienale a festoni risale alla seconda metà del XX secolo. Realizzate magistralmente in splendido mogano massiccio, le finiture e l'attenzione ai dettagli sono davvero mozzafiato. Tutte le sedie presentano un attraente design con schienale a dondolo e sedili "a ribalta" che sono stati tappezzati con il più pregiato damasco chiaretto. Gli oggetti non sono soggetti a CITES.
