Boat Shaped conference table in mahogany and aluminum by MIM Roma. This is not just an average table, but a present and rather pronounced item. As a rule, only special design furniture has been delivered by the studio of the illustrious MIM Roma. Art and more refined design have overlapped here to produce a range of high-quality items that have more than withstood the test of time.To be fair, we have to say that we don't know who exactly designed this table. Whether it was Ennio Fazzioli, Luigi Pellegrin, Renato Venturi or the master Ico Parisi himself is unfortunately still a mystery to us. It was most likely produced in the late 1970's. DesignWhat we do know is the sheer quality of the table whose top is made entirely of the mahogany sort called sapeli. The edges are nicely rounded down and the top is finished with a glossy lacquer. The drawings of the precious mahogany wood convey an understated yet refined sense of beauty. The top consists of four blades that are attached to each other with nine screws at the bottom. Cut-outs have been milled into which these connecting pieces have been professionally concealed. The frame typical for this table is made of aluminum with an anthracite coating. Halfway through the well-known MIM Roma adorns the striking legs and these emblems can be adjusted loosely with Allen bolts. The amalgamation of the base together with the top brings two worlds together, as it were. A nod to the past through the top and a look forward through the futuristic base. A powerful combination.
The condition of the table is good with light signs of wear on the edges of the top and diffuse scratches on the aluminum base. This does not detract from the appearance of the table and please not the described irregularities can be removed by our workshop.
