PERIOD First half of the twentieth century BRAND HAAS & CZJZEK is a historic Czech company specialized in the production of high quality ceramics, particularly known for the production of porcelain. Founded in 1792 in the town of Horní Slavkov (then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, now the Czech Republic), the factory became famous for the excellence of its porcelain, which combines traditional craft techniques with innovations in design. The company has operated under the name HAAS & CZJZEK since 1867, following the merger between Johann Georg Haas and Karl Czjzek, two notable figures in the porcelain industry of the time. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, HAAS & CZJZEK was one of Europe's most prestigious porcelain manufacturers, exporting to various international markets and earning a reputation for the finesse of its products, often decorated with floral motifs and gilded details. After the Second World War, the company was nationalized by the Czechoslovakian government and, although it continued production, lost part of its creative autonomy. However, HAAS & CZJZEK has remained a symbol of quality in Czech ceramic production. Fondata nel 1792 nella città di Horní Slavkov (allora parte dell'Impero austro-ungarico, oggi Repubblica Ceca), la fabbrica divenne famosa per l'eccellenza delle sue porcellane, che combinano tecniche artigianali tradizionali con innovazioni nel design.
