A very stylish and extremely well made vintage sideboard in light walnut, this was made by Morris of Glasgow, the much sought after mid century maker and favoured supplier of Royalty, it dates from the 1960’s.
Design highlights of this piece include, the stylish, long sweep of the drawer pull, the attractive fin shaping of the cupboard door handles and the striking linear grain of the wood.
There is ample storage space within this beautiful piece of retro furniture, consisting of a large double door cupboard, with single shelf, an equally well proportioned pull down door cupboard, with single shelf, which is topped by a large narrow drawer.
This is in very good vintage condition, it has been cleaned and refinished with several layers of Danish oil to enhance the grain. There are some minor scratches to the left hand side of the sideboard but these are only noticeable under scrutiny. As with all vintage, preloved furniture, perfection is rare and it will have some signs of use. Please study the images for a good representation of the condition,

Eighteen years later Morris again performed the same role fitting Her Majesty’s namesake ocean liner, the QE2.
In 1958 Morris Furniture was involved in the festival of Britain exhibiting all that was good in British furniture and in 1963 Neil Morris won many design awards for his famous Bambi chair and Clouds occasional tables. Even today collectors seek these valued and exceptional designs.
